Neurofeedback is learning, so as any learning process, there is a need to be exposed to the information repeatedly. During a neurofeedback session, the client will be seating in front of a monitor with few wires connected to the his-her scalp that reads the brain activity. Once the brain is producing the healthy brain activity, the client will receive feedback from a visual and auditory stimulus, reinforcing to the brain this is the way it should be working. This may look like a video game and the controller is the brain. Expose to this training for several sessions the brain learns, regulates, consolidates the information modifying gradually the target symptoms.
