This was a fantastic training!  The presenters were knowledgeable and passionate, and able to explain material in a way I could understand. I can’t wait to incorporate NFT into my practice!

It was wonderful, especially considering the limitations of teaching remotely due to COVID. I’m new to neurofeedback, so much of it was new. I particularly enjoyed seeing how it is implemented to treat trauma.

Course Overview

This 20-hour In-Person Practicum is a vital, immersive training experience designed to bridge the gap between neurofeedback theory and confident clinical practice. Delivered over three intensive days, this course dives into using equipment, performing hands-on neurofeedback sessions, conducting mind-maps, and exploring biofeedback applications. You will work directly with expert instructors to cover essential topics like 10-20 electrode placement, steps in protocol development, and treatment implementation, all while earning 2 valuable mentoring hours toward your BCIA certification. The practicum focuses on guided practice and real-time application, ensuring you gain the practical skills needed to confidently integrate neurofeedback into your professional work.

Key Learning Outcomes

1. Protocol Execution

Master protocol individualization for specific client’s needs, electrode placement (10/20 & QEEG sites), and real-time session adjustments.

2. Artifact Management

Learn to identify, troubleshoot, and mitigate artifacts (e.g., muscle, eye movement) that compromise session quality.

3. Client Interaction

Practice clinical intake, effective communication of neurofeedback concepts, and handling client-specific challenges under supervision.

4. Equipment & Software

Achieve fluency with hardware setup, calibration, and software features in a clinical environment.

5. Ethical Practice

Discuss case reviews and adhere to best practices for professional and ethical neurofeedback application.
